Becoming a member of the Vegan Society of Aotearoa New Zealand helps us go grow as a society and as a community; enabling us to provide support for vegans and to promote a vegan lifestyle within New Zealand. You can view our goals here: about us.

Add a donation

Adding a donation to your membership fee helps us meet the cost of running outreach workshops such as Vegan 101 and film events, as well as pay for materials such as stall kits, expo fees, leaflets, banners, that help us promote the growth of veganism within New Zealand.

The Vegan Society is a registered charity which means you are entitled to a tax rebate on donations on top of membership cost.

We have 2 types of membership:

Individual membership

$50 a year (or more as extra donation)

You will receive:

Our quarterly Vegan Society magazine 'Vegan New Zealand' in the post.
You can opt to receive an emailed pdf magazine if you prefer, however we suggest you get a printed copy and once you have finished reading it pass it onto friends and family, or leave at your doctors, library, dentist etc to help raise awareness about the Vegan Society and veganism in New Zealand.

The Vegan Society café and business membership is a great way to promote what you do to our growing number of vegan members. It also helps grow veganism and of course support the Vegan Society of Aotearoa. Business membership costs just $100 a year and as a member you will receive:

Business listing in our vegan friendly business directory on the website.
Cafe listing (if applicable) in our eating out guide flagged as a member.
A listing in each copy of magazine.
This membership entitles you to offer discount to the society’s individual members who will present their membership card to you to redeem. Your listing in the magazine and on our website will show you offer this discount.
