Heather is a reconstructive plastic surgeon at Counties Manukau DHB where she is also Deputy Head of the Plastic Surgery Department. She specialises in all forms of skin cancer and hands, and has a subspecialty focus on melanoma at Counties Manukau. As well general and comprehensive plastic surgery training, she has undertaken specialized fellowships in hand surgery, microsurgery and military trauma. Heather is a vegan who has lived in New Zealand for many years and shares her recently built home in the Bombay Hills with her family which includes five sheep, a couple of pigs, chickens and Fred the cat.
