Paraoa Kakano – Seeded Bread

Ingredients
1 c sunflower
1/2 c linseed meal
1/3 c pumpkin seed
1/3 c psyllium husk
1/4 c chia
1 tsp salt
1/2 c buckwheat flour/ gluten free flour
1/2 c white rice flour
1/4 c tapioca flour/ chickpea flour
400ml water
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp coconut sugar(optional)
1 handful of kawakawa(blessed)
- Other veges you may want to flavour it with: onions, leek, greens, corn, beans, lentils, chickpeas, potato, kumara.
Add herbs, vegan cheese, liquid smoke, smoked paprika or any other flavour profiles.
Directions
- Mix all the dry ingredients together.
- Mix all the wet ingredients together.
- Add wet and dry very quickly as the mixture will start to set fast!
- Put into baking tray or mould and smooth top
- Let sit for 2-3 hours, then bake at 140° C for 40 minutes, then flip out of mould, bake for further 40 mins.
- Let the loaves cool on a cooling rack to avoid a soggy bottom, once cooled slice and freeze for future use.
