Ingredients

  • Potatoes

  • Kumara

  • Pumpkin

  • Carrots

  • Artichoke

  • Cabbage

  • Garlic

  • Bread Stuffing

  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

  • Using a stainless steel steamer, and to create a hangi flavour, firstly steam manuka shavings for a smoky flavour.
  • Replace manuka with water to create the steam.
  • Peel and cut veggies to suit.
  • Season vegetables with salt and pepper.
  • Put vegetables inside hessian bags and placed in baskets inside steamer.
  • Wrap stuffing in tin foil then place on top of hessian bags, or cook separately in oven.
  • Steam for 90 minutes, remove and serve.

Notes

  • Tofu and tempeh are great to add, as are mushrooms, cauliflower, onions, courgette, peppers or any other veggies you like.
