Sticky 'Honey' & Sesame Tofu

- Tofu
2 blocks firm tofu
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
- Sauce
1⁄4 cup rice vinegar
1⁄4 cup agave syrup
1⁄4 cup sweet chili sauce
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1⁄2 tsp sesame oil
1⁄3 cup water
Pinch of salt
2 tsp cornflour
- Toppings
Spring onions
Sesame seeds
Directions
- Preheat the oven or air fryer to 180 °C.
- Press the firm tofu with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, then break it into bite-sized chunks.
- In a bowl, coat the tofu chunks with cornstarch, garlic powder and salt.
- Bake the coated tofu in the preheated oven or air fryer for 15 minutes.
- While the tofu is baking whisk together all the sauce ingredients in a bowl until the
- cornflour is dissolved.
- Heat a large frying pan with about 1 Tbsp of olive oil. Add the baked tofu chunks, coat them
- in the oil, and then pour in the prepared sauce.
- Stir the sauce around until it thickens and coats all the tofu. Simmer for a few more minutes.
- Serve the tofu topped with spring onions and sesame seeds.
