Have you heard of In Bloom? You’ll be glad when you have… In Bloom is a quite popular and super delicious & nutritious catering business based in Wellington who make the best burgers I have ever tasted and melt-in-the-mouth raw desserts. :) I can never simply walk by their stall without stocking up and buying their food, it’s dangerously good. (Not to mention good for you too!) Seriously, their food is 11/10 amazing and 100% vegan but you wouldn’t be able to tell straight away as they aren’t super preachy, they respect everyone’s individual ideals and have a wide range of customers, including many regulars such as myself - it doesn’t matter whether you are vegan or not, you can still enjoy their healthy and mouth-watering food and they will be more than happy to serve you! Many of their customers are vegetarian or vegan but omnivores still frequently choose to purchase food from In Bloom and always walk away very satisfied and thrilled with their wholesome food purchase that bursts with flavour. In Bloom caters to small-medium sized events such as night markets or birthdays (kids and adults alike) with their burgers (chickpea patty or kumara and pumpkin with an incredible satay sauce) and raw or cooked desserts. They deliver anywhere in Wellington and are regular at the Cuba street night markets on Friday & Saturday from 5pm-10pm and the Vegan Vault. :) Alternately, you can order their desserts by emailing them or contacting them through Facebook, links at close of article. Everything they create is their own and made with their own tried and tested recipes but they do re-create versions of classic, popular items or flavours but put their own spin on it, such as the snickers bar (try their raw snickers), bounty bar (try their raw bounty cup), cookies and cream (try their raw cookies and cream cups). I may be biased being vegan I would say In Bloom’s version of everything blows the original out of the water. Customer favourites include items like the raw peanut butter cups, raw mocha bites and raw raspberry and lemon cups. (Some of my personal favourites too!) In Bloom was ‘born’ after two mothers found it difficult to feed their children healthy and tasty food options around Wellington, the positive feedback received by friends and family who got to be ‘guinea pigs’ trialling their food, drove them to open a business where they share their edible creations with like-minded people who are looking for healthy, tasty and vegan food options for them and their families. When In Bloom started in October, 2015, the only non-vegan ingredient they used was honey as a sweetener in their desserts, however, now they are proud to be 100% vegan as they substituted the honey for rice syrup instead due to customer suggestions.
